Dan is a fourth generation Alaskan, the third of nine children of George and Margaret Sullivan. Dan's wife Lynnette is an award winning elementary school teacher and his daughter Jennifer graduated with honors from the Anchorage School District and from the University of Oregon's Clark Honors College in 2009.
